Teri Budow became well-known in the South Bay and West Los Angeles for her top-level dog care business. Her association with Nysa Hill founder Angie Diehl (see About Nysa Hill) began in 2003, and together they've forged several successful ventures from their common background and love for canines.
In addition to her extensive experience in dog-sitting, basic obedience and canine wellcare, Terri is also an avid designer of artistic leads, collars and dog-wear.
OBEDIENCE AND BEHAVIOR TRAINING
Our obedience expert, Janine Pierce, Owner of J9sK9s, uses motivational, reward-based training methods. She incorporates lots of food, petting, praise and play in her training. Motivational training is a wonderful relationship builder between canines and humans and helps create a dog that willingly obeys his owner, rather than obeying out of fear of being corrected. First, a dog needs to understand what the desired behavior is and how pleasant it is for him to comply. Later, if a correction is ever needed, psychological consequences for making the wrong choices are much more effective than pain and intimidation. Not only do reward based training methods work the best - they're a heck of a lot more fun!
